Schedule
This position offers a day shift schedule working four 10-hour days from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, providing a balanced workweek with extended off days.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of Interventional Radiology (IR) experience is required
- Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Experience with any charting system required
- Travel experience is not required for this role
Key Skills
- Proficiency in abdominal and pelvic interventional procedures, including but not limited to:
- Adrenal Angiography, Aortography, Pelvic Angiography, Renal Angiography
- Angioplasty, Stent placement, Embolization, Chemoembolization
- Inferior Vena Cava (IVC) filter placement/removal, Liver Biopsy, Paracentesis
- Mesenteric Angiogram, Selective visceral angiography, Thoracentesis, Superior vena cavogram
- ERCP (Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography)
- Expertise in genitourinary studies and procedures, including:
- Cystoscopy, Cholecystostomy, Gastrostomy, Nephrostomy
- Renal artery and ureteral stent placement, Uterine arterial embolization
- Embolization and angiography of the genitourinary system
- Vascular studies and endovascular interventions experience
- Procedural competencies including:
- Equipment setup and maintenance
- Room circulation and scrub duties maintaining sterile field
- Handling of vascular closure systems such as Perclose and StarClose
Responsibilities
- Prepare and set up imaging and interventional equipment to support a broad range of IR procedures
- Collaborate closely with the healthcare team to ensure patient safety and procedure efficiency
- Maintain strict adherence to sterile techniques during procedural conduct including scrub responsibilities
- Monitor and document patient status and procedural outcomes using electronic charting systems
- Operate vascular closure devices to assist in successful procedure completion and patient recovery
- Support room circulation and assist with patient positioning and preparation
- Participate in continuous education and maintain certifications pertinent to the role
Qualifications
- At least 1 year experience specifically in Interventional Radiology
- Valid ACLS and BLS certifications
- Demonstrated ability to perform and assist with a wide variety of diagnostic and interventional procedures across abdominal, pelvic, genitourinary, and vascular systems
- Proficient in use of charting systems for accurate patient documentation
- Strong communication and teamwork skills in a multidisciplinary healthcare setting
- Ability to maintain excellent patient care and attention to detail in a high-demand environment
