Shift & Schedule
- Day Shift: Four 10-hour days per week
- Hours: 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM
Requirements & Skills
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a relevant clinical setting
- Experience in both teaching and community hospital environments is required
- Willingness and ability to travel as needed
- Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS
- Certification in either ARRT (Radiologic Technologist) or RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist), but not both
- Must hold a valid Washington State RT or CIS license (one of these, not both)
- Proficient procedural skills including:
- Accurate patient monitoring and EKG lead placement
- Functioning as room circulator and scrub to maintain a sterile field
- Electrophysiology study expertise in:
- Arrhythmia induction
- Baseline measurements
- Cardiac ablation and mapping
- Conduction studies and electrophysiology evaluations
- Cardioversion, insertion/programming of AICDs, Left Atrial Appendage (LAA) closure, pacemaker insertion, and tilt table studies
- Cardiac Cath Lab procedural skills including:
- Cardiac stent placement
- Impella insertion
- Left and right heart catheterization
- Percutaneous Coronary Interventions (PCI) and Percutaneous Transluminal Coronary Angioplasty (PTCA)
- Rotablator atherectomy
- Temporary pacemaker management
- Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) and Watchman procedures
- Neurological procedures experience including thrombolysis and thrombectomy
- Competence in coil embolization procedures
Key Responsibilities
- Perform precise and timely patient monitoring and EKG lead placement consistent with clinical protocols
- Act as room circulator and scrub role to maintain sterile field during invasive cardiac and electrophysiology procedures
- Assist with electrophysiology studies, including induction of arrhythmias, conduction studies, cardiac ablation, and mapping
- Support complex cardiac catheterization lab procedures such as stent placement, PCI, PTCA, and TAVR
- Participate in neurological thrombolysis/thrombectomy procedures as needed
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintain appropriate documentation of all procedural activities
- Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes
Qualifications
- At least one year of direct experience in cardiac radiology/cardiology procedural environments
- Demonstrated experience in both teaching hospital and community hospital settings
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications, with ARRT or RCIS certification and WA State RT or CIS licensure as stated
- Ability to travel as required for assignments
- Strong knowledge of electrophysiology studies, cardiac catheterization lab procedures, and neurological interventions
- Excellent communication skills and a patient-centered approach
- Commitment to upholding the highest standards of quality and patient safety
Compensation & Benefits
Competitive hourly wage ranging from $72.00 to $85.00 based on experience and certifications.
