Mount Carmel Home is a Skilled Nursing Facility in Kearney, Nebraska. We serve 75 residents and provide rehabilitation, memory care, hospice, and long-term care services. We have strong Catholic roots in the Kearney community and are committed to providing patient centered care for our residents.

JOB DUTIES
Help provide basic resident care under the direction of nursing staff.
Answer resident call lights to determine resident’s needs in a timely manner.
Turn or reposition residents as needed. Provide physical support to assist residents to perform activities of daily living, such as getting out of bed, bathing, dressing, toileting, standing, walking or exercising.
Record vital signs, such as temperature, blood pressure, pulse or respiration rate as directed by charge nurse.
Gather information from caregivers, nurses about resident condition, treatment plans, or appropriate activities.
Document or otherwise report observations of resident behavior, complaints, or physical symptoms to nurses.
Assure resident safety.
Assist residents to eat or drink as needed. Undress, wash and dress residents who are unable to do so for themselves
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be listed on the Nebraska Nurse Aide Registry and be in good standing
Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, including assisting with lifting, transferring, repositioning, and mobility
Must complete all required training and maintain required certifications
Must meet state background check requirements
Must be dependable, compassionate, and willing to work as part of a team
Previous long-term care experience is helpful but not required
