Job Overview
Seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join a Long-Term Care team in a Charge Nurse role. The RN will provide comprehensive nursing care, supervise nursing assistants, coordinate resident care plans, and ensure quality outcomes through clinical leadership and compassionate resident-centered care.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments and develop nursing diagnoses
Create, implement, and evaluate individualized resident care plans
Monitor resident conditions and respond appropriately to changes in health status
Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
Document all care, treatments, assessments, and resident responses thoroughly
Coordinate physician visits and communicate resident needs effectively
Educate residents, families, and staff regarding care plans and health conditions
Supervise Nursing Assistants and ensure compliance with care plans
Promote resident rights, dignity, and quality of life
Participate in infection prevention and safety initiatives
Contribute to quality improvement and interdisciplinary care planning
Serve as a primary point of contact during assigned shifts
Perform IV therapy including initiation, medication administration, and management of central lines and catheters
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) License
Current BLS Certification
Minimum 1 year of nursing experience
Long-Term Care experience preferred
Ability to supervise and lead support staff effectively
Preferred Qualifications
Previous Charge Nurse experience
Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) experience
Experience with PointClickCare (PCC) documentation
Strong IV therapy and medication management skills
