Responsibilities
Conduct thorough patient assessments, including physical examinations, vital signs, and medical history reviews to inform diagnosis and treatment plans.
Prescribe medications and manage treatment regimens in compliance with state and federal regulations, including DEA guidelines.
Perform advanced wound care procedures and debridement
Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks for accurate documentation of patient encounters, medical records, and billing information.
Collaborate closely with physicians, specialists, nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
Engage in telehealth consultations and outpatient services to expand access to care for diverse populations.
Participate in clinical research initiatives and quality improvement projects to advance evidence-based practices within the organization.
Qualifications
Valid state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with current certification from recognized accrediting bodies.
Demonstrated experience working in complex medical environments such as critical care units, emergency rooms, hospital medicine, or outpatient clinics.
Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Athenahealth, Cerner, or similar platforms.
Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and diagnostic evaluation techniques.
Experience with specialized procedures like botulinum toxin treatments for aesthetic or therapeutic purposes is a plus.
Familiarity with CPT coding, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), and utilization review processes for accurate billing and documentation.
Excellent client communication skills with the ability to assess patient needs effectively across age group coordinate care accordingly.
Additional skills in behavioral health management, hospice & palliative medicine, infectious disease care, occupational health, or memory care are advantageous.
