About This Position

General Description

The Advanced Nurse Practitioner position responsibilities include working alongside nursing staff and psychiatry staff with the ability to perform either positions tasks

Tasks & Responsibilities

A. Essential Duties

Performing initial psychiatric evaluations within a 60 minute period

Performing medication management follow ups within 20 minutes

Completing documentation within 48 hours

Completing refer out forms within 24 hours after seeing a patient that needs a higher level of care

Completing all record requests within 30 days of receipt

Logging into initial psychiatric evaluations 10 minutes of scheduled appointment. In case of emergency notify the front desk.

Logging into medication management appointments within 5 minutes of the scheduled time. In case of emergency contact the front desk.

When prescribing controlled substances, NJ PMP will be checked no less than every 90 days.

Attend a Clinical Team Meeting one time per week for 1 hour

Performing on-site and virtual initial psychiatric evaluations

Prescribing medications during follow up medication management appointments virtual and onsite

Providing refills for clients within 2(3) business days of the request

Periodically covering medication refill requests for absent providers to ensure continuity of care to Harmony Bay patients. Contacting the patient may be required in certain circumstances

Responding to urgent messages from Medical Assistant staff on same business day. Responding within two business days to non- urgent messages.

Case conferencing with Chief Medical Officer/Medical Director, Collaborating Physician, Director of Nursing (Medical Operations), Clinical Director, therapists, nursing and psychiatric staff

Referring patients when necessary to the appropriate levels of care

Attending scheduled supervisions

Timely completing of written records for each patient, including but not limited to: intake assessments, progress notes, treatment notes, termination notes, contract notes as well as all forms and documents which may be needed or required by the Company or third parties in conjunction with treatment of the patient in a timely manner.

Keeping patient files accurate and up to date

B. Additional Duties

Assists and covers other staff when necessary to maintain high productivity and efficiency in the department.

As the company continues to grow, additional responsibilities that are essential for the department to be successful will be assigned accordingly.

Must have strong computer skills to meet Microsoft Office and Electronic Health Record software requirements.

Qualifications

Education:

Master’s in Nursing and Post Master’s Program in Advanced Practice Role

Current and unrestricted license

Experience:

1 year experience as Advanced Practice Registered Nurse

Computer literate: Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) required.

Required licenses or certifications:

Current CPR Certification

PMHNP

Narcan Certified

Current active and unrestricted Advanced Practice Registered Nurse Licensure

Current Nurse Practitioner certification in specialty area

Current active DEA

Current active CDS if the State you are employed in requires it
