About This Position
Liberty Shores Senior Living is a 105 room assisted living and memory care facility where we are looking to add to our caregiving team. Our caregivers work together to assist residents with all their daily needs. We are looking for people who are passionate about caring for the elderly while displaying empathy and a "can do" attitude. The position is 40 hours a week. Applicants who are able to work a flexible schedule will receive extra consideration. Differential pay for evenings /Nights. Please reply with a resume if interested in applying for this position.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse
- Assist with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and feeding
- Take and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure
- Assist with mobility and transfers, using proper body mechanics
- Observe and report any changes in patient condition to the nurse
- Maintain a clean and safe patient environment
- Document patient care activities accurately and timely
Experience:
- Previous experience working with the elderly is preferred
- Knowledge of behavioral health principles and techniques is beneficial
- Experience in sterile processing or handling medical equipment is desirable
- Understanding of durable medical equipment (DME) and its use is advantageous
- Ability to work with patients who have special needs or require specialized care
