Licensed Vocational Nurse- LVN
Lubbock TX
We are hiring Licensed Vocational Nurses for a State Supported Living center in Lubbock TX that serves the IDD population. Licensed Vocational Nurse performs complex vocational nursing for various patient care duties, under the supervision of the Unit RN and Unit Nurse Manager.
6-month contract
Sunday through Saturday
Available shifts: 2pm-10pm- required to work every other weekend
first 5 weeks of training are mon-fri 8am-5pm
Standard pay: $40hr
Weekend pay: $41.50hr
DESCRIPTION: The Licensed Vocational Nurse performs advanced vocational nursing work. Provides for the care, treatment, and general welfare of individuals residing at the State Supported Living Center who have intellectual disabilities, complex medical, mental health and/or behavioral health issues.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide care for patients – manage medication administration and treatments; provide medication education and complete documentation.
Perform computer data entry – Receive full training.
Competent in advanced skills such as gastrostomy tubes/enteral feedings, Foley catheters, tracheostomies, etc.
Comply with facility Standard Operating Procedures to meet standards for accrediting agencies; specifically, ICF-IDD Regulations, DSSLC Policy and Directives and HHSC Standards, Rules and Directives.
REQUIREMENTS:
Must possess valid LVN license.
Must have at least 1 years of experience, preferably 2 years as a direct care Nurse
Must comply with immunization requirements.
Must submit to required drug test.
Must submit to required fingerprinting.
Must complete the training facility required.
Must have the following at time of interview:
Valid photo ID
TB documentation
Nursing License
CPR card
