About This Position
Are you a compassionate, dependable Certified Nursing Assistant who enjoys helping patients feel safe and supported throughout their surgical experience? Seventh Avenue Surgery Center is seeking a patient-focused CNA to join our surgical team.
In this role, you will work alongside nurses, surgical staff, and providers to support efficient patient care in a fast-paced outpatient surgery environment. The ideal candidate is attentive, organized, comfortable assisting patients with varying needs, and committed to providing an exceptional experience from arrival through discharge.
What You’ll Do
Welcome patients and help create a calm, positive surgical experience.
Assist with patient admission, preparation, recovery, and discharge activities as directed by the nursing team.
Obtain and accurately document vital signs, height, weight, and other assigned patient information.
Assist patients with dressing, mobility, toileting, positioning, and other personal care needs.
Transport patients safely throughout the surgery center, including assisting with wheelchair transportation at discharge.
Prepare patient bays, stretchers, and clinical areas for scheduled procedures.
Clean and restock patient-care areas in accordance with infection-prevention and facility standards.
Maintain appropriate supplies, linens, and equipment throughout the center.
Communicate patient concerns or changes in condition promptly to the appropriate licensed nurse.
Follow patient-identification, confidentiality, safety, and infection-control requirements.
Work collaboratively with the entire surgical team to support safe patient flow and an efficient daily schedule.
Perform additional duties within the CNA’s scope of practice as assigned.
What We’re Looking For
Current Certified Nursing Assistant certification in the applicable state.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to obtain it within the required timeframe.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous CNA or direct patient-care experience preferred.
Experience in an ambulatory surgery center, hospital, procedural, or recovery setting is a plus.
Strong communication, organization, and customer-service skills.
Ability to maintain professionalism and compassion in a busy clinical environment.
Ability to protect confidential patient and organizational information.
Dependable attendance and the flexibility to support changing patient-care needs and surgical schedules.
Physical Demands & Work Environment

Stooping, bending, reaching, and grasping
Lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling
Frequent communication and active listening
Close visual acuity for patient assessment and clinical tasks

Medium work: exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 30 pounds frequently, and up to 10 pounds constantly to move or lift objects
