About This Position
Midwest Gastrointestinal Associates, PC (MGI)/Gastroenterology Management Services, LLC (GEMS) is seeking an experienced Director of Clinical Informatics to lead the strategic direction of our clinical technology, electronic medical record (EMR) systems, and information technology initiatives.
This leadership role serves as the bridge between clinical operations and technology, helping improve patient care, optimize workflows, strengthen cybersecurity, and support organizational growth.
Primary Responsibilities
Lead and oversee clinical information systems and EMR optimization.
Collaborate with executive leadership, physicians, and contracted IT partners.
Plan, implement, and manage technology projects that improve clinical and operational efficiency.
Analyze workflows and recommend technology solutions to enhance patient care.
Oversee IT infrastructure, software, hardware, and cybersecurity initiatives in with contracted IT partners.
Support regulatory compliance and data security requirements.
Utilize data and analytics to support quality improvement and business initiatives.
Provide training, coaching, and support for clinical technology users.
Monitor emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions.
Qualifications
Required
Registered Nurse (RN) licensed in Nebraska.
Bachelor's degree in Nursing or a related healthcare field.
Master’s degree in Nursing Informatics, Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Five or more years of experience in clinical informatics, healthcare technology, or clinical data management.
Preferred
Gastroenterology or endoscopy experience.
Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
Knowledge of healthcare cybersecurity, data management, and healthcare information systems.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Advanced Excel knowledge with data base management and reporting experience.
Thinks strategically and solves complex problems.
Communicates effectively with clinicians, executives, and IT professionals.
Enjoys improving processes through technology.
Is passionate about enhancing patient care through innovation.
Can successfully manage multiple projects in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Full-time
Monday–Friday
Primarily onsite with limited remote work flexibility based on business needs.
Pay: $95,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
