Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nurse Aide to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will assist in providing high-quality patient care across various clinical settings, including hospital, outpatient, and post-acute care environments. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare setting, supporting patient needs and ensuring comfort and safety. Experience in Level II trauma centers, hospital medicine, emergency medicine, PICU, OR, geriatrics, medical-surgical units, and teaching hospitals is highly valued. The Nurse Aide will play a vital role in supporting nursing staff and contributing to positive patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
Assist nursing staff with direct patient care activities such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility assistance
Monitor and report patient vital signs and condition changes accurately
Support patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) in inpatient, outpatient, and sub-acute care settings
Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by adhering to infection control protocols
Document patient care activities thoroughly and accurately in medical records
Assist with patient transfers and positioning using proper techniques to ensure safety
Support emergency response efforts as needed in Level I Trauma Center or emergency medicine environments
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, therapists, and social workers to coordinate patient care plans
Qualifications
Prior experience in hospital medicine, emergency medicine, Geriatrics, PICU, OR, or medical-surgical units is preferred
Experience working in Level I Trauma Centers or teaching hospitals is advantageous
Knowledge of post-acute care, outpatient clinics, or sub-acute care settings is a plus
Certification as a Nurse Aide (CNA) or equivalent required; ongoing education or training certifications are beneficial
Strong communication skills and compassionate bedside manner
Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments such as inpatient units or outpatient clinics
Demonstrated ability to follow detailed instructions and adhere to safety protocols
