About This Position
Registered Nurse – Acute Care
Day & Night Shifts | $10,000 Sign-On Bonus | Critical Access Hospital | Nebraska
You didn’t become a nurse to spend every shift doing the same thing.
You became a nurse to think, adapt, connect, and make a difference.
If you’re an RN looking for a hospital nursing position where your full skillset matters, this could be the opportunity you’ve been waiting for.
A respected Critical Access Hospital in Nebraska is seeking a Registered Nurse – Acute Care to join its close-knit team. Here, nursing is wonderfully hard to put in a box. One shift may involve caring for a medical-surgical patient. The next may bring an emergency, an OB patient, a pediatric case, or a swing-bed patient.
You won’t just know your assignment. You’ll know your community.
And because this is a smaller hospital, your experience, judgment, and voice actually matter.
Why This RN Opportunity Is Different
$10,000 Sign-On Bonus is only part of the story.
This is an opportunity to build the kind of nursing experience that stays with you:
Day and night shifts available
Block scheduling available for greater flexibility
Broad acute care nursing experience
Exposure to Med/Surg, ER, OB, pediatrics, telemetry, and swing bed
A collaborative, close-knit healthcare team
Greater clinical autonomy and the opportunity to use your judgment
Meaningful relationships with patients, families, and the community
Competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package
A Little More Variety. A Lot More Impact.
As an Acute Care Registered Nurse, you’ll care for a diverse patient population and have the opportunity to practice across multiple areas of the hospital.
Your day may include:
Providing comprehensive acute care nursing using the nursing process
Caring for patients in medical-surgical, emergency, OB, pediatric, telemetry, and swing-bed settings
Performing assessments and recognizing changes in patient condition
Administering medications, treatments, and nursing interventions
Responding confidently to urgent and emergent situations
Working closely with physicians and other members of the healthcare team
Educating patients and families
Advocating for your patients and helping them navigate their care
Becoming a trusted part of a community that genuinely depends on its hospital
What You Bring
We’re looking for an RN who is adaptable, clinically confident, and comfortable being part of a team.
You’ll need:
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license
Nebraska RN licensure or the ability to obtain it
A solid foundation in acute care nursing
Strong assessment and critical-thinking skills
Excellent communication and teamwork
A willingness to work across different patient populations and clinical settings
Critical Access Hospital, rural hospital, or small-community hospital experience is welcome—but it is not required.
If you’re an experienced Med/Surg RN, Acute Care RN, ER RN, or hospital-based Registered Nurse who enjoys variety, you may find this environment surprisingly refreshing.
The Part You Can’t Put on a Benefits Sheet
There’s something special about working in a hospital where people know your name.
You see the same families. You become familiar with the community. You’re not one small piece of a massive healthcare machine—you’re an important part of the team.
Your clinical judgment matters.
Your patients remember you.
And at the end of a long shift, you can look back and know you actually made a difference.
