About This Position
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Travel NICU Registered Nurse (RN) to provide specialized neonatal intensive care to premature and critically ill infants across various healthcare facilities in Arizona. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in neonatal and critical care environments, demonstrating exceptional clinical judgment, compassionate patient care, and adaptability to diverse hospital settings. As a Travel NICU RN, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality neonatal care, supporting families, and ensuring optimal health outcomes for our most vulnerable patients.
Requirements
2 or more years of NICU RN experience, including Level III-IV NICU experience and a minimum of 2 years RN experience
Required certifications: BLS and NRP
Required experience with Epic charting system
Required travel experience, no first-time travelers permitted
Experience with neonatal patient ratio of 1:3
Experience with charting in EPIC
Experience providing care to neonates 29-34 weeks gestation and 34+ weeks
Experience with interventions such as arterial line management, administration of blood/blood products, high-frequency ventilation, nitric oxide, thermoregulation, PICU care, and various neonatal procedures
Experience with neonatal assessments, high-risk deliveries, and neonatal transport
Ability to float to PEDS/PICU and Postpartum units caring for infants 6 months or younger
Experience with complex neonatal procedures including surfactant administration, therapeutic hypothermia, ventilator management, and line placements
Willingness to float to PICU and Postpartum care
Adherence to specific schedule and compliance rules (e.g., no blocked scheduling, RTO restrictions, DUI policy)
