About This Position

Position Summary

Responsible for nursing services that support the plan of care provided by Infusion Solutions.

Responsible for personnel, resources, budgetary concerns and patient care responsibilities of the nursing team. Responsible for the recruitment and retention of nursing staff in addition to over-seeing day to day activities. Provides consistent leadership to ensure nursing team runs smoothly and is a professional role model. Ensures the Infusion Solutions nurses develop and implement a plan of care that meets each client's specific needs and is in compliance with accreditation standards, federal and state regulations, reimbursement guidelines as well as Agency policies and procedures. Acts as Director of Clinical Services in Director's absence

Essential Job Functions

Performs oversight of Nursing Services to ensure compliance with organizational policies, accreditation standards, local state and federal regulations.

Evaluate and optimize inventories of supplies and equipment used in infusion nursing services.

Ensure a healthy working environment.

Use evidence-based health care practice to improve patient care and nursing strategies.

Establish rapport, ensure communication is clear and listen carefully for potential problems or miscommunications.

Demonstrates flexibility in adjusting staffing and patient care decisions in response to changing needs and being decisive when necessary. Effective decision making.

Focus on quality and patient safety with attention to patient satisfaction.

Manage nurses by providing feedback on nurse performance, motivate and empower staff, develop new employee orientation.

Develop and maintain relationships with healthcare providers, payers, and other stakeholders to drive business growth.

Understand and assist in managing the nursing team budget, including labor, supply costs, and capital expenses, and ensure the organization is operating within financial targets.

Utilize data analytics to measure and improve performance across key areas, including patient satisfaction, adherence to treatment plans, inventory management, staff productivity, and revenue and profitability.

Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless delivery of care and effective service.

Stay current with the latest developments in home infusion pharmacy services and nursing practices and continuously improve services to meet the evolving needs of patients and the healthcare industry.

Manage productivity of the nursing team.

Manage recruitment and retention of nursing team.

Establishes and maintains clinical competencies of infusion nurse.

Understands and supports job description of infusion nurse.

Knowledge of home infusion pharmacy regulations and accreditation requirements

Strong leadership skills, including the ability to manage and develop a high-performing team of nurses and healthcare professionals.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with patients, healthcare providers, payers, and other stakeholders.

Strong analytical skills, with the ability to use data to drive decision-making and performance improvement.

Knowledge of electronic medical record (EMR) systems and other healthcare technology platforms.

Provides oversight of clinical liaison RN functions.

Participates in agency's other mandated activities, including in-services, UR/PI committee meetings and staff meetings.

Adheres to all agency, payroll, billing and documentation policies and procedures.

Meets established guidelines for documentation.

Completes a minimum of 10 hours of training annually. Written documentation of training to be kept and made available to the department of Health.

Evaluation of service provided by contractors.

Provide direct patient care as needed.

Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Directly supervises infusion nursing staff, including Registered Nurses, CNAs and Schedulers. Responsible for hiring, onboarding, training, scheduling, performance management, coaching, and disciplinary actions in accordance with company policies. Provides ongoing mentorship and professional development to ensure clinical excellence and staff engagement. Conducts regular performance evaluations and competency assessments. Oversees staffing levels and workload distribution to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care. Acts as a resource and escalation point for clinical and operational concerns. May assume leadership responsibilities for additional clinical support staff as needed.

Reports To: Director of Clinical Services (or equivalent clinical leadership role) and CEO/President.

Required Education, Licensure & Experience

All requirements below are job-related and consistent with business necessity.

Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Washington in good standing.

Minimum of 3–5 years of clinical nursing experience, with at least 1–2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.

Experience in infusion therapy, home infusion, ambulatory infusion, or a related specialty required.

Demonstrated knowledge of state and federal healthcare regulations, accreditation standards (e.g., ACHC, Joint Commission), and reimbursement practices.

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred if applicable to patient population.

Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and healthcare technology platforms.

Preferred Education & Experience

Preferred qualifications are not required but are job-related and consistent with business necessity.

Master of Science in Nursing (MSN), Healthcare Administration, or related field, or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Prior experience in home infusion pharmacy or specialty infusion services strongly preferred.

Certification in infusion nursing (CRNI®) or nurse leadership/management certification preferred.

Experience with budget management, workforce planning, and performance analytics preferred.

Bilingual or multilingual skills preferred to support diverse patient populations.

Work Environment

This position primarily operates in a clinical office and infusion suite environment, with occasional presence in patient care areas and potential travel to other sites, partner facilities, and patient homes as needed. The environment may include exposure to typical healthcare conditions, including contact with patients, medical equipment, and occasionally hazardous materials such as biohazardous waste or cleaning agents. Work may involve moderate noise levels and frequent interruptions in a fast-paced setting. Occasional exposure to outdoor weather conditions may occur when traveling between locations. The role requires the ability to maintain focus and professionalism in a dynamic healthcare environment.
