Collaborating General Psychiatrist – Georgia | Independent Contractor | $750/Month
A well-established and highly rated outpatient psychiatric LLC serving patients in Georgia is seeking a Georgia-licensed General Psychiatrist to serve as a Collaborating Physician/Independent Contractor.
The practice has earned excellent patient feedback, including five-star patient reviews, and is committed to high-quality, ethical, evidence-based psychiatric care.
Position Requirements
The psychiatrist must:
Hold an active, unrestricted Georgia medical license
Hold an active Georgia DEA registration appropriate for the required prescribing/collaboration responsibilities
Maintain an office/practice address within 50 miles of Cobb County, GA 30066, as required for the applicable Georgia collaborating-physician arrangement
Maintain active professional liability/malpractice insurance
Be in good professional standing and preferably have no pending malpractice claims or disciplinary matters
Meet all applicable Georgia Composite Medical Board collaborating physician requirements
Be available to review/sign stimulant prescriptions on the same business day when clinically appropriate and legally required
Be comfortable collaborating with an outpatient psychiatric practice treating patients ages 6 through 65
Be comfortable with a practice in which treatment may include Schedule II stimulants for ADHD and buprenorphine/naloxone (Suboxone) for opioid use disorder, when clinically indicated
About the Clinical Practice
The principal psychiatric clinician brings approximately 30 years of combined prescribing and psychiatric clinical experience, beginning as a physician and subsequently continuing in advanced psychiatric practice in the United States. His background includes extensive experience in child/adolescent and adult psychiatry, ADHD, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, PTSD/trauma-related disorders, substance-use disorders, and psychopharmacology.
He reports an incident-free prescribing history spanning approximately three decades and places strong emphasis on careful documentation, evidence-based prescribing, controlled-substance monitoring, patient safety, and compliance with applicable FDA guidance, DEA requirements, Georgia law, and professional standards of care.
Scope of Collaboration
This is intended to be a low-burden, professional collaborating-physician relationship. Responsibilities will include those required under applicable Georgia law and regulations, including appropriate chart/prescribing oversight, availability for consultation, and other requirements associated with the collaborating physician role.
Because the practice prescribes controlled substances, reliable same-business-day availability for required stimulant prescription review/signature is essential.
Compensation
$750 per month
Independent contractor arrangement.
Ideal Candidate
We are particularly interested in a psychiatrist who:
Values a professional, organized, compliance-focused collaboration
Is responsive when time-sensitive prescribing issues arise
Has experience with outpatient psychiatry and controlled-substance prescribing
Is comfortable with both pediatric and adult psychiatric populations
Has an established Georgia practice location meeting the applicable geographic requirements
Is seeking a stable, long-term collaborating relationship
Georgia psychiatrists meeting the above requirements are encouraged to apply with a brief description of their current practice, Georgia office location, availability, and experience serving as a collaborating physician.
Pay: $750.00 per month
Work Location: Remote
