Position Overview
We are seeking a strong, experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to lead clinical operations at a recently acquired Skilled Nursing Facility in the Beaumont/Banning area. This is a key leadership role suited for a hands‑on nursing executive with proven psychiatric/behavioral health experience who excels during times of transition and operational improvement.
The Director of Nursing will play a critical role in stabilizing clinical operations, building a high‑performing nursing team, and ensuring excellence in resident care and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Provide overall leadership and management of nursing services in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
Lead clinical operations through post‑acquisition transition and change management
Ensure delivery of high‑quality nursing and psychiatric/behavioral health care
Maintain compliance with CMS, Title 22, and survey requirements
Recruit, train, mentor, and retain nursing leadership and staff
Collaborate with the Administrator, Medical Director, and interdisciplinary teams
Oversee clinical quality measures, infection control, and risk management programs
Ensure ongoing survey readiness and lead responses to audits and plans of correction
Develop, monitor, and manage nursing department staffing and budgets
Required Qualifications
Active California RN license in good standing
Minimum 5 years of nursing leadership experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility
Prior psychiatric or behavioral health nursing experience (required)
Strong working knowledge of CMS regulations, Title 22, and long‑term care standards
Proven leadership skills with experience in transitional or turnaround environments
Excellent communication, organizational, and team‑building abilities
Preferred Qualifications
Previous Director of Nursing experience in a SNF
Experience in post‑acute, behavioral health, or dual‑diagnosis settings
BSN or higher degree preferred
