About This Position
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to adult patients with a wide range of medical and surgical conditions, while continuously monitoring cardiac telemetry for early detection of changes in patient status.
Pay Details:
For Locals:
(W2) : $54 - $1,944
(1099) : $57 - $2,052
For Travelers/Stipend Candidates:
Blended Hourly W2 Pay Rate: $61
Blended Weekly Gross Pay Rate: $2,196
Minimum Hourly W2 Pay Rate: $26.39
Min. W2 Weekly Gross (Taxable): $950.04
Weekly Stipend (Non-Taxable): $1,245.96
OR
For Traveler 1099 Candidates:
Pay Rate on 1099 to the Candidate: $63
Weekly 1099 Traveler Pay Rate: $2,268
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry readings, responding promptly to abnormal findings
Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and facility protocols
Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care
Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR
Respond to emergent situations, including rapid response and code events
Ensure compliance with infection control, safety, and regulatory standards
Qualifications :
Active RN license in Texas
Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (ADN/BSN)
Minimum 1+ years of Med-Surg/Telemetry experience
BLS required
ACLS, PALS, TNCC, EFM certifications required
Strong critical thinking, communication, and time-management skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage a diverse patient caseload
