POSITION OVERVIEW
The RN position is accountable for participating in assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of resident care.
The RN collaborates with nurses from all shifts, interdisciplinary staff, and physicians on issues related to the management and coordination of resident care. Responsibilities include direct resident care, leadership of MAA, CNA, and RA staff.
The RN reports to the Director of Nursing.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES for a Registered Nurse (not meant to be an all inclusive list)
Performs resident care such as medication administration, treatment, therapy, basic teaching and reinforcement education.
Contributes to the assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation and documentation of resident conditions and care:
Document sand reports changes in condition, intervention and resident response
Updates Care Plan consulting with clinical leadership as appropriate.
Communicates Care Plan changes with Nursing staff/Director of Nursing/Nursing Home Administrator.
Attends Care conferences as designated
Reports changes in resident condition to supervisor and seek guidance as needed.
Delivers nursing care in compliance with Nurse Practice Act, State and Federal regulations applicable to SNF setting and policies and procedures of Oakwood Village.
Collaborates with nursing team, medical consultants, and other team members to ensure resident and family needs are met.
Demonstrates effective time management and problem solving skills.
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION and TRAINING
Registered Nurse License in the state of Wisconsin required for all RN positions
CPR Certified, required
One year relevant nursing experience, preferred
Knowledgeable in geriatric care, preferred
