OVERALL PURPOSE AND SUMMARY

Under general direction of the NHA Executive Director, is administratively responsible for nursing services at Clearview in compliance with State and Federal rules and regulations and Facility policies and procedures.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Develops, maintains, implements nursing policies and procedures that conform to current standards of nursing practice, facility philosophy, and operational policies while maintaining compliance with state and federal rules and regulations.

Directs and evaluates the nursing care of all residents, assist in making clinical judgements ensuring proper resident care and follow through. Participates in admission/discharge planning for residents.

Provides leadership, vision and coaching to the team by serving as a role model

Collaborates with physicians, consultants, administrative team members and others to improve the quality of services to resolve identified issues/concerns. Meets with residents/families as necessary.

Participates in administrative and nursing decision-making processes to streamline operations.

Collaborates and advises ADON, CCC, UM’s, MDS Coordinator. To ensure proper leadership and supervision/oversight of the nursing department and promotes empowerment of team in providing resident centered care, participates in team problem solving, monitors team members performance and provides feedback through coaching and counseling.

Promotes, hires, disciplines and terminates employees.

Oversees nursing QAPI, Infection Control and staff education.

Participates in recruitment/training of all nursing services staff.

Participates in budget planning, implementation, and maintenance. Assures that households have needed resources.

Participates and directs in the household concept.

Participates in resident and facility clinical emergencies and emergency preparedness.

Regular attendance and punctuality required.

Attends all mandatory in-services.

Represents Clearview in a positive and professional manner at all times at work.

Performs related duties as may be required or assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Knowledge of all applicable state and federal regulations.

Knowledge of geriatric medical, psychiatric, brain injury, and restorative nursing.

Knowledge of supervisory principles and practices.

Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with staff, residents, resident representatives, community representatives, related agency personnel, etc.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills utilizing computers as necessary.

Must possess good management skills (plan, organize, coordinate, control, evaluate, direct), and be a motivated individual who takes initiative with a positive attitude.

Ability to use nursing equipment and office equipment.

Must have flexibility to adjust work schedule to meet resident, staffing or facility needs.

Must meet qualifications of the Driver Qualification Policy.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor degree in Nursing, Health Administration or Business Administration, two (2) years nursing administration experience, and six (6) years nursing experience with previous demonstrated experienced as a successful leader/manager. Must possess current license as Wisconsin Registered Nurse with no restrictions. CPR certification required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $52.48 - $57.84 per hour
