About Us:
Kidney Clinic of North Florida is a leading healthcare provider dedicated to delivering high-quality renal care to our community. Our team is committed to compassionate, evidence-based treatment for patients with kidney disease, hypertension, and electrolyte disorders. We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Physician Assistant (PA)/APRN to join our dynamic Nephrology team.
Job Summary:
The Physician Assistant/APRN will work collaboratively with nephrologists and other healthcare professionals to provide exceptional care to patients with chronic kidney disease, acute kidney injury, and other renal conditions. The ideal candidate has a strong clinical background, excellent communication skills, and a passion for nephrology.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct patient assessments, histories, and physical exams
Diagnose and manage renal-related conditions under physician supervision
Order and interpret diagnostic tests (labs, imaging, etc.)
Initiate and adjust treatment plans, including medication management
Educate patients and families on kidney disease, dialysis, and transplant options
Participate in inpatient rounds, outpatient clinics, and multidisciplinary care teams
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR
Collaborate with nephrologists, nurses, dietitians, and social workers to coordinate comprehensive care
Qualifications:
Current and valid Physician Assistant / APRN license in Florida
Graduation from an accredited PA/APRN program
NCCPA certification
Previous experience in nephrology or internal medicine preferred, but new graduates with strong interest in nephrology are encouraged to apply
BLS and ACLS certification
