About This Position
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric Nurse with a Masers degree in nursing to oversee our Texas Market. The ideal candidate will be responsible for serving as Interim DON/Administrator, opening new psychiatric hospitals specializing in Adult and Geriatric care. Additionally, this candidate will providing high-quality patient care, ensuring the well-being of patients. Serve as an expert in behavioral health care and policy and procedure for inpatient psychiatric facilities. The ideal candidate will be well versed in Quality and Performance Improvement measures as well as Joint Commission rules and regulations. This role requires a solid understanding of leadership and administrator duties. The Clinical Nurse will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.
Duties
Provide oversight to newly opened psychiatric facilities from a DON or Administrator standpoint.
Provide direct patient care, including administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
Conduct thorough assessments of patients’ health status and document findings accurately in medical records.
Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality and privacy.
Ensure that all medical documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
Participate in ongoing professional development and training to stay current with best practices in nursing care.
Must work well with community care partners and facilitate positive relationships within the community.
Experience
A valid nursing license is required.
Previous experience in a psychiatric setting is required.
Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and patient care practices is essential.
Familiarity with medical documentation processes and HIPAA compliance is highly desirable.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary for effective interaction with patients and healthcare team members.
Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining a compassionate approach to patient care.
Requires a MSN or higher
Must be able to travel 80-90% of the time.
