Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to provide one-on-one nursing care in a school setting. This position focuses on supporting the health, safety, and well-being of an assigned student while collaborating with school staff and families to ensure a safe and positive learning environment. This is a long-term contract opportunity following the academic school year schedule.
Requirements and Experience:
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
Previous experience in school nursing, pediatric nursing, or one-on-one patient care is preferred.
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently while collaborating with school personnel.
Compassionate, dependable, and committed to providing quality patient care.
Availability to work the assigned school-day schedule.
Responsibility:
Provide one-on-one nursing care to an assigned student throughout the school day.
Monitor and assess the student's health status and respond to medical needs as appropriate.
Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and school policies.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of nursing care provided.
Collaborate with teachers, school staff, parents, and healthcare providers to support student health.
Promote a safe and healthy learning environment.
Follow all applicable healthcare regulations, school policies, and safety protocols.
Perform other duties as assigned.
