Job Summary
Our Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) is looking for a Director of Nursing. This is a fast paced environment that is driven to reach the highest quality and patient satisfaction. The ASC is physician owned and directed and is able to make decisions and, manage staff quickly and efficiently. We are seeking a motivated Director of Nursing who will supervise the Pre-op, Surgery, and PACU/Recovery teams and be responsible for the coordination of care provided by these teams on a daily basis.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervise the nursing and technical staff ensuring that they follow HR and ASC policies.
Train the nurses and staff to be integral member of the overall care team.
Ensure adequate onboarding and ongoing training for ASC staff.
Collects and organizes the ASC’s quality data and presents them to the Medical Director
Participates in the clinics overall Quality monthly meetings and presents the ASC’s quality data.
Participate in the development of standard work documents in conjunction with the ASC team that contribute to the improved quality of care for patients. Maintains all of the ASC’s policies. Each is reviewed annually and discussed with the Medical Director.
Participate in the interviewing and hiring of ASC staff.
Review patient and staff data to measure the effectiveness of patient care.
Be able to function in all roles at the ASC.
Light booking keeping duties.
Qualifications and Skills
Ability to recognize, evaluate and solve problems.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, physicians and vendors.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Demonstrates accountability, professionalism, openness, receptive to change, creativity and innovative.
Excellent teaching skills
Demonstrates Understanding of Quality Improvement process.
Preferred:
A bachelor's degree in nursing and/ or master's degree Preferred.
Active RN License in Wisconsin
Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of nursing experience with progressive leadership in ASC Operations or hospital outpatient centers is required.
Current CPR and ACLS.
Experience in an Ambulatory Surgery Center highly preferred.
Travel:
Must have the ability & willingness to travel to other sites as necessary.

Pay: $95,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
