About This Position

Job Title: Travel LPN LONG TERM CARE

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) specializing in Long Term Care to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in patient care, with extensive experience working with geriatric and chronically ill populations. As an LPN in Long Term Care, you will provide high-quality nursing services, support patient comfort, and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations. Your role is vital in delivering personalized care that promotes dignity, safety, and well-being for residents requiring ongoing medical attention.

Weekly Gross Pay: $1,935200

Weekly Taxable Pay: $685.20

Non-taxable Weekly: $1,250.00

Minimum 2 Years' experience in LPN LONG TERM CARE:

Genie Healthcare is currently seeking experienced LPN LONG TERM CARE to fill an opening place located in Seattle, WA for $48.38/hr. (Taxed+ nontaxed)

Requirements of LPN LONG TERM CARE:

● Must have AHA BLS.

● Must have a valid state WA License or Compact license.

● Must have at least 2 years of experience as an LPN LONG TERM CARE

Responsibilities of LPN LONG TERM CARE:

Shift: - 5 Hours Evenings

Shift Details: 2.00 PM to 10.30 PM

40 hours/week. (5*8)

13-week contract

Administer medications and treatments accurately according to physician orders while adhering to all safety protocols.

Monitor residents’ vital signs, assess health status, and document findings thoroughly within electronic health record (EHR) systems.

Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility support to enhance residents’ quality of life.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to each resident’s needs.

Manage IV infusions and perform catheter care with strict adherence to aseptic techniques and infection control policies.

Respond promptly to medical emergencies or changes in residents’ conditions, including triage assessments and urgent interventions.

Maintain compliance with long-term care regulations, HIPAA confidentiality policies, and documentation standards for medical records.

Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff to foster a supportive and respectful environment.

Qualifications

Valid state licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN).

Proven experience in long-term care facilities or skilled nursing environments; experience with nursing home or assisted living settings preferred.

Knowledge of EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner for documentation and patient management.

Familiarity with medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), and medication administration protocols.

Experience working with geriatric patients, including dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, and memory support programs.

Competence in performing physical examinations, vital signs monitoring, specimen collection, and basic life support (BLS).

Strong communication skills for caregiver communication, client interaction, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Additional skills such as IV insertion, catheterization, tube feeding management, pain management experience, and familiarity with hospice or palliative care are advantageous.
