Description
American Traveler is seeking an LPN for a primary care clinic requiring 1 year of ambulatory clinic experience and Epic EMR proficiency.
Details
Ambulatory primary care clinic setting covering Family Medicine and Internal Medicine
Patient population ranges from birth to geriatric for Family Medicine and 18+ to geriatric for Internal Medicine
Assists providers with minor in-office procedures such as IUD insertion/removal, Nexplanon insertion/removal, toenail removal, and incision & drainage
Clinic includes on-site phlebotomy lab and radiology services
Scheduled for 8-hour day shifts, 40 hours per week, with hours of operation 8:00am-5:00pm
No weekend rotation, on-call duties, or holiday requirements
May occasionally float within Primary Care department, and on rare occasions to specialty clinics such as Nephrology, Rheumatology, Pulmonology, or Endocrinology
Epic EMR experience in an ambulatory clinic setting required
Requirements
Current LPN license required if applicable
BLS certification required
Completion of a board-approved nursing education program
Minimum 1 year of ambulatory clinic experience required for consideration
Experience starting IVs strongly preferred
Primary care experience highly preferred
Required to live more than 100 miles from the facility for consideration
Additional Information
Duties may include chaperoning providers during procedures and preparing exam rooms
Works alongside a clinic support team including MA/CA, RN, MD, and APP staff
Standard orientation includes Epic training, clinic-specific I-Learns, and 3-5 days shadowing a permanent staff member
LPN scrub color is not specified, but MA/CA staff wear light grey and RN staff wear navy blue
Free parking available in designated areas
First-time travelers considered only if they have prior ambulatory clinic experience
Time off requests require supervisor approval
Former permanent staff must wait one full year before returning as a traveler at this facility
