About This Position

Certified Nurse Midwife

Location: IHS Facility in Rosebud, SD 57570

Shift:

Monday Friday | 8:00 AM 5:00 PM

OB emergency on-call coverage during non-clinic hours, including weekends and Federal holidays.

On-call CNM must respond to the Emergency Department within 60 minutes of notification, as required by facility policy.

Contract Length: 3 months (option to extend)

Estimated Start Date: Pending Award and Completion of Credentialing Process

Compensation:

Hourly Rate: $82

Travel weekly stipends (if applicable): $1,246

Please keep in mind that payroll is processed on a biweekly basis.

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) to provide comprehensive women's healthcare services, including prenatal, postpartum, gynecological, and preventive care. The CNM will also provide OB emergency on-call coverage and support patients throughout the continuum of women's health services.

Requirements:

Graduate-level education from an accredited Nurse-Midwifery program

Current Certified Nurse-Midwife (CNM) certification through the AMCB

Current, active, unrestricted RN/APRN license and authorization to practice as a CNM

Appropriate prescriptive authority and DEA registration, as required

Current BLS and NRP certifications

ACLS certification if required by the facility

Professional liability insurance

Experience providing prenatal, postpartum, gynecological, and women's healthcare services

Ability to meet IHS credentialing and background requirements

Responsibilities:

Provide prenatal, postpartum, gynecological, and well-woman care

Provide family planning, contraceptive, and preventive healthcare services

Provide intrapartum care within facility capabilities and clinical privileges

Evaluate and stabilize obstetric emergencies

Provide OB emergency on-call coverage and respond to urgent patient needs

Consult with physicians and coordinate referrals or transfers when necessary

Document patient care accurately in the Electronic Health Record (EHR)

Participate in quality improvement, clinical coordination, and required IHS training
