Description
American Traveler is hiring an LPN for a Long Term Care/Transitional Care unit requiring 2 years of skilled LTC experience and IV therapy skills, working night shifts.
Details
Long Term Care / Transitional Care facility setting
Patient ratios of approximately 1:15-25
Night shift, 8-hour shifts (2200-0630), 5 shifts per week
Every other weekend required
Floats between TCU and other units, typically spending 3 of 5 shifts in TCU with remaining time floating
May be required to float between sister facilities within the state
Block scheduling accommodations available
Requirements
Active LPN license required if applicable
BLS certification required
Minimum 2 years of skilled Long Term Care/Transitional Care/SNF nursing experience
Minimum 1 year of travel nursing experience required
Previous charge nurse experience required
IV therapy and phlebotomy skills required
Central line blood draw and dressing change experience required
Experience with IV pumps and starting/maintaining IVs required
Wound care/wound vac and wound drain (JP/Hemovac) experience
Epic EMR experience required
Reliable transportation required
Two supervisory references covering 1 year within the last 3 years required
Additional Information
Provide skilled nursing care in a long-term/transitional care setting including medication administration, wound care, and IV therapy
Business casual dress code with scent-free workplace policy
No fake or artificial nails permitted
Clothing must be loose-fitting and workplace-appropriate; no exposed skin, spandex, or open-toe shoes
Not accepting first-time travelers; 1 year of travel experience required
Candidates who previously worked at this facility as permanent staff are not eligible
Former Providence staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not be within 50 miles of the facility
Locals accepted within a 50-mile radius at the local (non-travel) rate
Limited RTO accepted; no more than 3 days during the assignment
Facility may cancel up to 1 shift per pay period
