Physicians Vein Clinics and Lazaderm pride themselves on offering the highest quality service, most up-to-date techniques, and state-of-the-art technology to patients. This is an excellent opportunity for the right individual looking for a position working for a highly experienced and trusted board-certified doctor within a privately owned practice.

Due to patient demand for our services, we are excited to add a Medical Assistant team member. We are looking for that person who loves helping people, has patience when dealing with patients, who is kind, but also works efficiently, independently, and well with others. This position will be approximately 40% front desk responsibilities and 60% Medical Assistant duties.

This position does require backup travel to Watertown, SD, and Sioux City, SD; however, travel will be with the team.

Responsibilities

Assists patients by greeting them, answering questions.

Assist physician with procedures.

Apply compression stockings after procedures are completed.

Educating patients before and after treatments.

Calling patients to follow-up.

Prepare exam rooms for patient set up and procedures.

Clinic Supplies are adequately stocked and organized.

Order clinic supplies as needed.

Makes patients and visitors feel valued and welcome whether it be in person or on the phone.

Keeps patient appointments on schedule by notifying provider of patient’s arrival, reviewing service delivery compared to schedule, and reminding providers of service delays.

Helps patients by anticipating patients’ anxieties, answering patients’ questions, and maintaining an inviting but orderly reception area.

Ensures availability of treatment information by filing and retrieving patient records.

Protects patients’ rights by maintaining confidentiality of medical, personal, and financial information and other HIPAA related protections.

Maintains operations by following policies and procedures, reporting needed changes.

Contributes to team effort by accomplishing tasks as requested.

Salary: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
