Job Description
Nurse Assistant - Extended Care - Home Health Care (West Bloomfield Area) – Contingent
Eligible Benefits: 403B – Matching Contributions made by Henry Ford Health
Shift: Set your Own Schedule
Private duty services may be arranged for patients who need extended care, from a few hours a week to round-the-clock-care. Typically, this is paid for privately, or through specialized, long-term care policies.
We tailor our services to fit the specific needs of our clients in Wayne, Oakland, and Macomb counties. Flexible scheduling allows us to provide short-term or long-term care to clients in the home or facility setting, as well as specialized care for students in their schools.
**GENERAL SUMMARY:**
Ready to make a real difference in patients' lives? As a Nurse Assistant in our Extended Care Home Health program, you'll work alongside our Registered Nurse team to deliver compassionate, personalized care that keeps our clients comfortable, safe, and supported. Here's what you'll be doing:

Qualifications
EDUCATION REQUIRED:
High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required.
ASSESSMENTS REQUIRED:
Requires ability to pass a written Home Health Aide competency test with score of 90% or above.
Requires ability to pass the HHA Skills Assessment Competency Evaluation.
CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
CNA or
Certification as a Home Care Aide (HCA) preferred, or
Completion of a Nurse Assistant program (titles for similar programs may vary; e.g. Patient Care Technician (PCT) or Patient Assistant Technician (PAT) but perform the same job role), OR
May be currently enrolled in a nursing program and have successfully completed the Fundamentals of Nursing course, OR
Foreign trained and licensed RN who has relocated to the United States and does not hold a Michigan RN license, OR
Medical Assistant program with OR without experience.
LICENSURES REQUIRED:
Complete BLS Heart Saver Certification during orientation.
Must possess a current driver's license and a satisfactory driving record to travel to and from various Home Health Care locations.
