About This Position
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Director of Rehabilitation to lead our In House Therapy Services and foster a culture of excellence in resident care. This pivotal role involves overseeing the development, implementation, and management of comprehensive therapy programs across The Victorian. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional leadership skills, an understanding of caseload development, and a passion for improving resident outcomes. As a key member of the clinical leadership team, you will drive innovation, ensure compliance with therapy regulations, and inspire your team to deliver top-tier therapy services. You will work hand in hand with the Regional Therapy Manager who will be your support and the wonderful leadership team at The Victorian.
Responsibilities
● Lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of rehabilitation services across the ALF, ensuring high standards of resident care and safety.
● Manage care delivery to ensure we optimize resident recovery processes.
● Implement policies aligned with current rehabilitation regulations and best practices in physiotherapy and anatomy knowledge.
● Oversee patient rehabilitation programs tailored to individuals with disabilities or visual impairments, ensuring personalized treatment plans.
● Ensure compliance with safety standards including manual handling procedures, heavy lifting protocols, and basic life support.
● Monitor clinical outcomes and continuously improve service quality through data-driven strategies and staff training initiatives.
● Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to facilitate seamless transitions and long-on and off caseload for diverse patient populations.
● Utilize Nursing and Therapy EMR as well as Outlook email to ensure timely schedules, reporting, and communication throughout all department processes.
Skills
● Required state license as a Therapist (COTA/PTA/SLP/PT/OT/ST). COTA is preferred.
● Preferred experience in Senior Living Facilities.
● Preferred Management experience (1-2+ years).
● Strong leadership skills in clinical team management, fostering collaboration among therapists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals within leadership.
● Hands-on experience with resident care protocols involving heavy lifting and manual handling techniques to ensure safety for both residents and staff.
