Travel Registered Nurse – Multiple Specialties
Job Type: Contract/full time
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Pay Rate: $65-$75/hr
Guaranteed Hours: 36 or 40 hours/week*

We are currently hiring Travel Registered Nurses (RNs) for a 13-week contract opportunity in Hooper Bay, Alaska. We are accepting experienced RNs from multiple specialties.

Job Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
Assess patient conditions and develop and implement appropriate nursing care plans.
Administer medications and treatments according to established standards and procedures.
Monitor patients and interpret diagnostic information as appropriate.
Provide patient and family education.
Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.
Provide age-appropriate and culturally sensitive care to patients from birth through elderly populations.
Demonstrate strong communication, critical-thinking, and clinical skills.
Follow facility policies, nursing standards, and applicable regulations.
Requirements
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Alaska in good standing.
Minimum 2 years of RN experience.
Graduate of an approved nursing education program.
Current BLS certification.
Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and adapt to a new healthcare environment.
Basic EKG and nursing skills.
Ability to complete and maintain required competencies.
Proof of completed COVID-19 vaccination is required for all travelers.

Housing is provided by Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation (YKHC).
Housing units are male or female only.
Travelers will have a private bedroom with shared common spaces.
Housing arrangements are subject to YKHC availability and policies.
Travel Reimbursement
The traveler/agency is responsible for booking travel to and from Bethel, Alaska.
YKHC will reimburse the traveler/agency for flights at the base fare.
Reimbursement applies to the flight to the assignment and at the completion of the assignment.
Travelers should retain all applicable travel documentation and receipts as required for reimbursement.
*Please note: The first week does not include guaranteed hours because orientation begins on Tuesday.
