About This Position

Wage Range: $48.21- $87.11 per hour

Additional pay for BSN or MSN

EvergreenHealth is seeking an experienced RN to join the well- established and dynamic Emergency Department team.

This is a New to Specialty Training position, not a RN Resident/ New Graduate position.

ER leaders are seeing current RN with 2 or more years of acute care Nursing experience for a New to Specialty ER RN training position.

Job Summary: Responsible for the total direct nursing care of all patients within established standards of care, hospital and unit policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Primary Duties:

1. Provides direct patient care and functions as a patient advocate.

2. Assesses the comprehensive nursing needs of an assigned group of patients.

3. Coordinates the patient and family/significant other education process.

4. Continuously plans, implements, and evaluates patient care, incorporating patient and family/significant other into the process.

5. Participates with physician partners and other interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement patient and family/significant other plan of care.

6. Communicates effectively all relevant information (e.g., patient information, safety issues, problems with equipment, quality issues, etc.) to immediate supervisor, in timely way.

7. Communicates and documents changes in patient condition, on a timely basis, to charge nurse/supervisor and physician.

8. Performs other duties as assigned.

License, Certification, Education or Experience:

REQUIRED for the position:

Graduate of a nursing program (Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN required).

Current Washington State Registered Nurse License

Current Acute Care patient care experience

Current Healthcare Provider BLS – American Heart Association by date of hire

Healthcare Provider ACLS- American Heart Association before completion of ER training.

PALS within 6 months of hire

TNCC within a year of hire

DESIRED for the position:

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Master of Science in Nursing (MSN).

Two or more years' experience in Acute Care nursing.
