Job Overview

Join our dynamic healthcare team as a NOC Nurse, where your expertise in nursing and critical care will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care across diverse clinical settings. As a NOC (Night Operations Center) Nurse, you will be the frontline responder during overnight shifts, ensuring seamless patient assessments, medication administration, and coordination of care. Your proactive approach and comprehensive clinical knowledge will support patient safety, facilitate communication among healthcare teams, and uphold the highest standards of medical excellence. Duties

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments including vital signs, physical examinations, and physiological evaluations to determine immediate needs and ongoing care plans.
  • Administer medications via IV infusion, injections, and other routes while adhering to aseptic techniques and medication safety protocols.
  • Manage complex clinical procedures such as ventilator management, catheterization, suturing, tube feeding, and wound care including ostomy care.
  • Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner to document medical records accurately, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Perform diagnostic evaluations such as laboratory specimen collection, processing, and interpreting diagnostic imaging results including sonography or mammography when applicable.
  • Provide critical care support in emergency situations including trauma medicine, ICU interventions, neonatal resuscitation procedures, and acute pain management.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for discharge planning, case management, and long-term care coordination in settings like hospice & palliative medicine or geriatrics.
  • Assist with triage assessments for urgent or emergent cases in outpatient or inpatient environments such as emergency rooms or urgent care centers.

    Qualifications

  • Valid nursing license with current registration; experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner; familiarity with ICD-9/ICD-10 coding is a plus.
  • Critical care experience including ICU or trauma center background; experience working within a Level I or Level II trauma center preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and infection control protocols.
  • Experience in diverse clinical areas such as cardiology (cardiac catheterization), ophthalmology (botulinum toxin treatment), nephrology (dialysis), pediatrics (neonatal ventilator), geriatrics (memory & dementia care), behavioral health, or home & community care settings is advantageous.
  • Ability to perform physical examinations, venipuncture (phlebotomy), IV insertion, sterile procedures, and specimen collection efficiently.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively triage patients and collaborate with healthcare teams across various specialties including occupational health and hospital medicine.
