Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Day Shift Nursing Assistant Candidate (NAC) to join our compassionate healthcare team. Duties
Assist with daily patient and resident activities, including hygiene, mobility, and feeding, ensuring comfort and dignity at all times
Monitor vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature using appropriate medical equipment
Support medication administration under supervision, following strict protocols and documentation procedures
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation within Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner
Use aseptic techniques during procedures such as catheter care or wound management to prevent infections
Operate patient lifts such as Hoyer lifts safely to assist with mobility needs and prevent injury
Collaborate with nursing staff to observe changes in patient conditions and report any concerns promptly
Requirements
Prior experience working in healthcare environments such as hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home care is highly preferred
Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and vital signs monitoring is essential
Experience with EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks is desirable
Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or equivalent is required
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia care experience is a plus
Strong communication skills and compassionate caregiving attitude are essential for success in this role
Ability to work independently during the day shift while collaborating seamlessly with the healthcare team
