About This Position
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background and demonstrate exceptional patient care skills. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients across various settings, including hospitals, long-term care facilities, and outpatient clinics. Your expertise in patient assessment, medication administration, and critical care will be essential in ensuring optimal health outcomes for our patients.
Registered Nurse Duties
Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes to the healthcare team.
Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding health management.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient care quality.
Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Perform various nursing procedures such as IV insertion, catheterization, and wound care.
Assist in triaging patients in emergency situations and provide acute pain management.
Participate in discharge planning and ensure continuity of care post-discharge.
Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in nursing.
Registered Nurse Requirements
Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
Experience with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or NextGen is preferred.
Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
Familiarity with ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10) and CPT coding is advantageous.
Critical care experience or experience working in a Level I or Level II trauma center is highly desirable.
Proficiency in performing procedures such as sterile technic, IV insertion, IV infusion, and airway management.
Experience in various specialties including geriatrics, internal medicine, emergency medicine, or spinal care and pain management medicine is a plus.
Ability to work collaboratively with diverse populations including individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia care needs.
