Senior Software Engineer – AI Products

About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer with 4–15 years of experience to join a highly skilled engineering team building AI-powered financial intelligence products.
In this role, you will help transform complex and manual accounting workflows into intelligent, scalable backend systems. You’ll work on challenging AI engineering problems, build production-grade software, and take ownership of projects from initial concept through deployment and continuous improvement.
What You’ll Do
Build and deploy agentic AI systems, including AI loops, orchestration, and intelligent workflows that power customer-facing products.
Work with complex and unstructured financial data to develop programmatic pipelines for modeling, processing, and extracting insights.
Own software features end-to-end, from understanding user needs and designing solutions to production deployment, monitoring, and iteration.
Design and implement rigorous evaluations to measure the effectiveness and reliability of AI systems.
Develop backend services that automate traditionally manual accounting and financial processes.
Collaborate with product and engineering teams to identify opportunities for applying AI to real-world business problems.
Develop scalable, reliable, and maintainable production software.
Continuously experiment with new approaches and improve AI system performance based on measurable results.
Key Qualifications
4–15 years of professional software engineering experience, particularly in backend development.
Strong software engineering fundamentals and a proven track record of shipping production-quality code.
Hands-on experience building and deploying AI/ML or agentic AI systems in production.
Experience with AI systems beyond basic prompt engineering or prototype/side-project implementations.
Strong Python development skills and experience building production backend services.
Experience working with complex datasets and developing data processing or analytical pipelines.
Strong understanding of software development, system design, testing, deployment, and monitoring.
A scientific and experimental approach to engineering, including the ability to evaluate AI outputs rigorously.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in an ambiguous, fast-moving environment.
Demonstrated end-to-end ownership of projects or features.
Startup or early-stage company experience is a plus.
Experience taking products or technical solutions from zero to one is highly valued.
