About This Position

1ST TIMER - ER RN - Req 10798 Will position float between units: No Is on-call required? No Are weekends required? Yes 6 weekends per 6 weeks Are block schedules required? block is approved but not required What are expected ratios? 1:3 Special requirements: ACLS, PALS, BLS, NIHSS, TNCC; 2 years is a hardstop requirement Are 48 hours approved: No Hospital Highlights Type of Facility: Short Term Acute Care Total Staffed Beds: 379 Level II Trauma Center Department Uniform/Dress: a. The dress code for licensed nursing personnel (RN, LVN) is solid navy blue colored uniforms or scrub attire. (Scrub tops may have colored piping.) Print tops are not acceptable attire except for licensed staff in the Children's Hospital (PED, Pedi, PICU, NICU). Women's Services (L&D, Mom/ Baby) will meet the requirements for their unit specific scrub attire. b. The dress code for unlicensed personnel (US, CNA, PCA, NT, MT) is solid hunter green colored uniforms or scrub attire. Print tops are not acceptable except in the areas noted above. Parking Notes: Free in any unrestricted space, Please park in any of the free surface parking lots with signs that say 'Employee/Visitor Parking

  • Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 07:00)

  • Block Schedules: Yes

    HIRING PROFILE

  • Previous Charge Experience: Preferred

  • Years of Experience: 2 years

  • 2 years is a hardstop requirement.

  • Patient Ratio Experience: 1:3

  • Charting System: Epic required

  • Teaching Hospital Experience: Preferred

  • Community Hospital Experience: Required

  • LTAC Experience: Preferred

  • Trauma Level I Experience: Preferred

  • Trauma Level II Experience: Preferred

  • Travel Experience Required: No

  • Only consider candidates without travel experience if they have more than 2 years of ED experience.

    CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED

  • ACLS

  • BLS

  • NIHSS

  • PALS

  • TNCC

    Respiratory

  • BiPAP/CPAP Management

  • Care of Ventilated Patients

  • IV Therapy / Phlebotomy

  • Central Line Care / Management

    Neurological

  • CVA (Cerebrovascular Accident)

    Professional Topics and Skills

  • Isolation Precautions / PPE

  • Triage

    Medications

  • IV Vasopressors

    Work Settings

  • Level II Trauma Center

  • Stroke-Certified Facility

  • Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency Response

  • Management of Dysrhythmias #ERRN1
