Position: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Long-Term Care (LTC)
Location: Hot Springs, South Dakota
Shift: Variable Days, Evenings & Nights
Shift Length: 8-hour shifts
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Start Date: ASAP
Requirements
Active LPN/LVN license in the state of practice (or compact license if applicable)
Current BLS certification
Previous Long-Term Care (LTC) or Skilled Nursing experience preferred
Experience with medication administration and resident care
Strong assessment, communication, and documentation skills
Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends
Ability to adapt to changing patient needs and staffing requirements
Responsibilities
Provide direct nursing care to long-term care residents according to individualized care plans and physician orders
Administer medications and treatments safely, including scheduled medication passes
Monitor residents’ health status and communicate changes to the healthcare team
Perform resident assessments and document care accurately in the medical record
Assist with admissions, transfers, and ongoing resident care activities
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, CNAs, and other healthcare professionals to support positive patient outcomes
Provide emotional support and promote resident comfort, dignity, and quality of life
Follow infection prevention practices and maintain compliance with healthcare standards
Educate residents and families regarding care plans and health needs
Maintain a safe and respectful environment for residents and staff
Pay: $35.00 - $42.00 per hour
Experience:
Previous Long-Term Care (LTC) or Skilled Nursing: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
Active LPN/LVN (Required)
BLS Certification (Required)
