About This Position
Looking for dependable, compassionate Behavioral Support Specialists to work individuals with developmental disabilities who have some behavioral challenges. Preferred applicants will have at least two years of related experience, or a degree/certification related to behavioral health.

Administering medications
Planning and preparing meals
Assisting with activities of daily living
Transporting to and from day program and community outings
Reinforcing therapies, including speech, behavioral support, and physical therapy
Ensuring all needs are addressed in a respectful manner with dignity and personal choice
Completing and maintaining required documentation on a web-based system
Ability to be certified in enhanced behavioral intervention
Valid driver's license
Current automobile insurance
Ability to pass registry and background checks
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds as needed
Ability to use verbal and physical intervention to redirect and/or to complete an emergency safety intervention with a person who is physically aggressive or self-abusive
Two years of related experience or a degree/certification related to behavioral health preferred.
Evenings 3:00pm-11:00pm, or 2:00pm-10:00pm
Additional Shifts: Working every other weekend is required, but hours could be day, evening, or overnight.
Starting pay is $18/hour. We pay more based on experience and education. We also pay more for current CNAs and offer CEUs to keep CNA active while working as a BSS.
