Due to the increasing demand for DOT/FMCSA physicals, we are seeking a detail-oriented Certified Medical Examiner to join our team. If you are not yet certified, we will cover the cost of certification upon hire.
The ideal candidate will be skilled in conducting DOT exams, sports physicals, and pre-employment exams, and will thrive as a collaborative member of our team. This role plays a vital part in promoting patient well-being through comprehensive examinations and diagnostic evaluations.
Role Description
This is a part-time, Nurse Practitioner position located in Tomah, WI. The Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for:
Conducting physical examinations for commercial motor vehicle (CMV) drivers to ensure they meet DOT/FMCSA physical qualifications.
Performing additional exams, such as sports physicals and pre-hire evaluations.
Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests.
Educating patients on health management and wellness.
Ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and standards.
Qualifications
Willingness to obtain FMCSA Certified Medical Examiner status (or currently certified).
Master’s degree in Nursing and certification as a Nurse Practitioner.
Licensure to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in Wisconsin.
Strong clinical skills in patient assessment, diagnosis, and treatment.
Excellent communication and patient education skills.
Ability to provide clear explanations of findings and answer patient questions.
Team-oriented with the ability to work collaboratively in a healthcare environment.
Experience in rural healthcare settings is a plus.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $60.00 - $70.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8.0 – 20.0 per week
