Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Medical Receptionist-CNA to join our healthcare team! Duties
Greet patients warmly and efficiently manage patient check-in and check-out processes using EMR systems such as AdvancedMD, Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks
Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance verification, and handle medical billing and collections with accuracy and professionalism
Schedule appointments, coordinate clinic flow, and manage front desk operations utilizing multi-line phone systems and Microsoft Office tools
Review and update medical records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintaining meticulous documentation review practices
Assist with clinical tasks as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), including patient intake, vital signs collection, and basic care support under physician supervision
proficiency in data entry, filing, and record management
Provide excellent patient service through effective phone etiquette, clear communication, and timely appointment scheduling
Ensure all documentation adheres to HIPAA standards and confidentiality protocols
Experience
Prior clinic experience or medical office management background preferred; experience in dental clinics is a plus
Demonstrated proficiency with EMR systems including AdvancedMD, Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks
Experience with insurance verification processes including Medicare and other payers
Excellent computer skills with familiarity in Microsoft Office Suite
Previous clerical or front desk experience in a healthcare setting is advantageous
Ability to handle multi-line phone systems efficiently while maintaining professionalism in high-volume environments
Knowledge of HIPAA compliance standards to ensure patient privacy and data security
