Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Cardiac Stepdown Registered Nurse (RN) to join our progressive care team. In this role, you will provide specialized care to high-acuity adult patients recovering from complex cardiac procedures, managing heart conditions, or transitioning out of the ICU.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct, high-acuity nursing care for cardiac stepdown/progressive care patients (e.g., post-CABG, TAVR, cardiac catheterization, pacemaker insertion, CHF).
Perform continuous cardiac telemetry monitoring, vital sign tracking, and rapid response to acute changes in patient status.
Administer and titrate specialized cardiac medications and IV drips per protocol.
Manage post-procedural access sites, including sheath removal and hematoma management.
Collaborate closely with cardiologists, electrophysiologists, and interdisciplinary care teams.

NIHSS
