GenCare Lifestyle in Federal Way is a Premier IL/AL/Memory Care Senior Living Community. We are currently seeking a FULL TIME Memory Care LPN to be an integral team player and leader working with a dynamic, fast paced Memory Care Team. LPN LICENSE IS MANDANTORY.
FT BENEFITS: Base Medical plan is 99% employer paid, Dental, Vision and Life at the employees expense, Paid sick (1 hour for every 40 worked, able to roll over max of 56 hours) and 6 paid holidays per year plus a paid day off for your birthday, one week vacation after one year employment, with an additional week beginning in year 2 finally with an additional week starting in the 47th month for a total of 3 weeks, quarterly raises for hourly employees, 401K eligible after 6 months with up to a 4% employer match after one year of employment, up to 3 days of bereavement and up to 5 days jury leave, First Choice Health Employee Assistance Program, free CEU’s, LPN and CNA annual license reimbursement, Free meal at work.

POSITION SUMMARY:
Work as the MEMORY CARE Champion, internally and externally, assisting all residents, staff, families, and friends in understanding and interacting with cognitively impaired residents. Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Memory Care Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to lead our memory care program with compassion and expertise. In this vital role, you will oversee the delivery of specialized care for residents with dementia and memory impairments, ensuring they receive personalized support that promotes dignity and quality of life. Your leadership will inspire our team to provide exceptional patient care while maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to residents with memory care needs, including Alzheimer’s and other dementias
Supervise care staff, providing guidance on clinical best practices and fostering a collaborative team environment
Conduct comprehensive assessments of residents’ physical, emotional, and cognitive health using medical terminology and physiology knowledge
Ensure adherence to HIPAA regulations and maintain accurate medical records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems.
Administer medications, injections, tube feedings, IV infusions, and manage ventilator or catheter care as needed with sterile technique and aseptic procedures
Oversee compliance with state healthcare regulations, long-term care regulations.
Coordinate with families for discharge planning, family meetings, and behavioral health support while ensuring compassionate communication
Requirements
Valid LPN license with current state licensure; experience working in long-term care or assisted living environments preferred
Demonstrated experience in memory care or Alzheimer’s/dementia-specific settings
Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems.
Supervisory experience managing caregiving teams within a community setting
Excellent communication skills for managerial coordination and family engagement; understanding of behavioral health principles is advantageous
