Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Room | Washington | Evening & Night Shifts | 13-Week Travel Contracts

Thrive HCR is seeking experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurses (RNs) for multiple 13-week travel assignments across Washington. Opportunities are available in Silverdale, Tacoma, and Seattle, with evening and night shifts available.

Location: Silverdale, WA Evenings3:00 PM–3:00 AM, EOW36 hrs/week

Silverdale, WA : Nights7:00 PM–7:30 AM, EOW36 hrs/week

Tacoma, WA Nights6:00 PM–6:30 AM, EOW36 hrs/week

Seattle, WANights7:00 PM–7:30 AM, EOW36 hrs/week

Start Date: October 5, 2026 Contract Length: 13 Weeks Shift Length: 12 Hours Charting: EPIC Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend Holiday Requirement: Required/occasional depending on assignment License: Active Washington RN or Compact license BSN: Not required

Compensation

Competitive Travel RN Pay Package

  • Locals: $2,214/week- Travelers: $2,380/week

    Exact pay package will be reviewed with your recruiter.

    Emergency Room RN Requirements

  • 1–2+ years of RN experience, depending on location
  • Recent Emergency Room experience
  • Active WA RN or Compact RN license
  • BLS required
  • ACLS required
  • PALS required
  • TNCC required for applicable assignments
  • NIHSS required
  • EPIC experience
  • Strong emergency nursing, assessment, triage, and critical-thinking skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork
  • Ability to work in a high-volume acute-care environment
  • Flexibility with scheduling and patient acuity

    Travel experience: Previous travel experience is required for the Tacoma opportunity. Silverdale may consider candidates with 1 year of experience in a larger trauma setting. Seattle prefers candidates who have completed 1–2 previous travel assignments.

    Seattle, WA – Emergency Room

    2 Night Shift Openings

    Schedule: 7:00 PM–7:30 AM Weekend: Every other weekend Guaranteed: 36 hours/week Start: October 5, 2026 EMR: EPIC Trauma Level: Level III Scrubs: Royal Blue

    Behavioral health experience is strongly preferred due to the department's significant behavioral-health population.

    Seattle Scheduling

    12-hour shifts are available with start times that may include 7 AM, 9 AM, 11 AM, 1 PM, 3 PM, and 7 PM, depending on department needs.

    Travelers generally maintain consistent start times rather than rotating frequently. The scheduler works to accommodate existing schedules, but block scheduling is not guaranteed.

  • Every other weekend
  • Some holidays required
  • No call
  • No standby
  • No floating
  • One 12-hour shift of department orientation with an experienced ER RN

    Driver's license is required at the time of submission.

    Silverdale, WA – Emergency Room

    3 Openings Total: 1 Evening + 2 Night

    Evening Position

  • 3:00 PM–3:00 AM
  • Every other weekend
  • 36 hours/week

    Night Positions

  • 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
  • Every other weekend
  • 36 hours/week

    Silverdale Scheduling

  • Scheduling based on department needs
  • Every other weekend
  • November/December holiday coverage required
  • No mandatory call
  • Extra shifts may be available but are not required
  • No floating outside the department
  • Professional scrub colors accepted

    Important: Travel duos may apply, but matching schedules/shifts cannot be guaranteed.

    Tacoma, WA – Emergency Room

    1 Night Shift Opening

    Schedule: 6:00 PM–6:30 AM Weekend: Every other weekend Guaranteed: 36 hours/week Start: October 5, 2026 EMR: EPIC Scrubs: Navy Blue

    Tacoma Requirements

  • At least one previous travel assignment required
  • Current WA or Compact RN license
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC
  • Strong ER experience
  • Ability to work effectively in a high-acuity environment

    Important eligibility requirement: Candidates may not have been full-time, part-time, or PRN employees with an affiliated CommonSpirit/CHI/Dignity facility within the previous 12 months.
