Responsibilities
Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, medical history, and physical examinations using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems.
Administer medications, injections, and IV insertions with precision and care, following established protocols.
Monitor patient responses to treatments and update medical records diligently to ensure accurate documentation of care provided.
Perform venipuncture procedures for blood draws and manage infectious disease care protocols to prevent cross-contamination.
Assist in patient education regarding medication administration, health management strategies, and post-discharge instructions.
Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient information and ensuring confidentiality at all times.
Experience
Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for efficient medical documentation and patient record management.
Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology necessary for accurate patient assessment and treatment planning.
Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications such as ACLS are a plus.
