Pay Rate: $55.00 – $75.00 per hour
Job Type: Full-time, Contract (13 Weeks)
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
Shifts Available: PM / NOC Shifts (2:00 PM – 10:00 PM or 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM)
Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for an immediate 13-week contract opportunity in a premier Long-Term Care facility located in Wausau, WI. In this role, you will deliver comprehensive nursing care, oversee medication passes, monitor resident health, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to maintain the highest quality of resident care.
Key Responsibilities
Provide skilled direct nursing care to long-term care and geriatric residents.
Administer medications, treatments, and intravenous therapy (if RN / IV certified LPN) in accordance with physician orders.
Conduct regular physical assessments, monitor vital signs, and promptly document any status changes.
Accurately update resident records and electronic health records (EHR) during shift handoffs.
Supervise and coordinate resident activities with CNAs/med-techs on the unit.
Maintain rigorous infection control standards and ensure a safe, supportive living environment.
Qualifications & Requirements
Licensure: Active and unencumbered Wisconsin RN/LPN license or valid Compact State (NLC) multi-state license.
Certifications: Active BLS / CPR certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross).
Experience: Minimum 1 year of recent clinical experience in Long-Term Care (LTC), Skilled Nursing (SNF), or Sub-Acute settings.
Reliability: Strong work ethic, reliable transportation, and commitment to completing the full 13-week assignment.
Pay: $50.00 - $70.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
