Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Nursing Services to lead our nursing team and ensure the delivery of exceptional patient care across our long-term care, assisted living, and home health facilities. This pivotal role combines strategic leadership with hands-on management to uphold the highest standards of clinical excellence, regulatory compliance, and resident satisfaction. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in nursing administration, extensive experience in various care settings, and a passion for fostering a compassionate, compliant, and innovative care environment.
Duties
Provide visionary leadership to nursing staff, managing daily operations and ensuring optimal staffing levels across all shifts.
Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive care plans tailored to each resident’s needs, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and best practices.
Oversee clinical documentation review, medical records management, and ensure accurate, timely updates using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
Ensure compliance with all long-term care regulations, Medicare requirements, HIPAA privacy rules, and state licensing standards.
Supervise nurse management teams, providing guidance on patient care quality, staff development, and performance evaluations.
Maintain a thorough understanding of residents’ rights, medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and memory care needs to promote respectful and effective care.
Lead efforts in regulatory audits, quality assurance programs, and staff training initiatives focused on enhancing patient safety and satisfaction.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate services such as hospice care, home health agencies, assisted living programs, and acute care when necessary.
Manage shift operations efficiently while fostering a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and professional growth.
Qualifications
Proven experience in nursing home administration or long-term care facility management with demonstrated leadership in nurse management roles.
Extensive assisted living experience combined with knowledge of home health, hospice care, memory care, and acute care settings.
Strong familiarity with MDS (Minimum Data Set) assessments and documentation review processes essential for compliance and reimbursement.
Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems along with medical records management skills to ensure accurate documentation practices.
In-depth understanding of long-term care regulations, Medicare policies, HIPAA privacy standards, and state licensing requirements.
Excellent supervisory skills with previous supervising experience managing multidisciplinary teams within healthcare environments.
Exceptional communication skills to effectively lead staff meetings, training sessions, and coordinate with external agencies.
Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining high standards of patient care and regulatory compliance.

Pay: $157,526.17 - $171,536.89 per year
