Position: Registered Nurse – NICU
Location: Lubbock, TX 79410
Contract: 26 weeks
Openings: 1
Shift: Nights, 3×12s — 7:00 PM–7:00 AM

Responsibilities
Deliver specialized nursing care to neonates in the NICU, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and managing ventilators and other life-support equipment.
Perform thorough patient assessments, including physical examinations and evaluation of physiological parameters.
Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Utilize advanced skills such as neonatal resuscitation procedures, aseptic techniques, and sterile processing to maintain a safe environment.
Document patient information accurately using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Educate families on neonatal health management, discharge planning, and developmental milestones to promote ongoing care at home.
Respond promptly to emergencies within the NICU, including acute pain management and critical response procedures.
Maintain infection control standards and ensure adherence to hospital policies for sterile technique and patient safety.
Assist with diagnostic evaluations such as laboratory specimen collection, imaging procedures like CT scans or ultrasounds, and other assessments.
Support long-term care initiatives for infants with special needs or developmental disabilities, including coordination with case management teams.
Requirements:
RN license: Active RN license; Compact license must be in hand
Experience: Minimum 2 years of NICU RN experience
NICU Level: Level III experience preferred; facility is a Level IV NICU
Travel experience: Not required
Charting: Epic experience required
Certifications: BLS and NRP Advanced

Pay: $1,800.00 - $2,200.00 per week
