American Traveler is hiring a Level IV NICU RN with at least 2 years of NICU experience for a children's hospital assignment requiring a TX or compact RN license.
Level IV NICU within a Children's Hospital and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center
Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours (7:00-19:00)
Block scheduling required with self-scheduling of 6 weekend shifts within a 6-week period
Patient ratios of 1:2-4
Floating required between units
No on-call responsibilities
48-hour work weeks approved
Epic EMR experience required
Cares for neonates across a range of gestational ages, including those under 24-28 weeks
Active TX or compact RN license required in hand at submission
Minimum 2 years of NICU experience required, Level III experience preferred
BLS and NRP Advanced certifications required
Epic charting experience required
Skilled in IV therapy, arterial and central line management, UAC/UVC care, and administration of blood products
Experience with ventilator management, high frequency oscillation, and nitric oxide therapy preferred
Proficient in neonatal medication administration including vasopressors, antibiotics, and anti-seizure medications
Experience with therapeutic hypothermia, phototherapy, and neonatal abstinence syndrome care
Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required
Response required regarding any prior work history with a Providence facility
Provide comprehensive neonatal intensive care including respiratory, cardiovascular, GI, and neurologic support
Support developmental care practices and family education
May assist with procedures such as lumbar punctures and ICP monitoring
Navy scrubs required for RNs

Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
All RTO requests must be submitted upfront prior to offer
Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate within a 50-mile radius
Former Providence employees may return as travelers after a 3-month break if outside the 50-mile radius
First-time travelers are welcome to apply for this winter block assignment
Assignments longer than 13 weeks may be available for candidates seeking extended contracts
