Aspirus Health in Wausau, WI is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Neurosurgery team!
Position Summary
The LPN or CMA under the general supervision of an RN and/or the direction of a physician, provides patient care and clinical support services appropriate to their scope of practice. Responsibilities include collecting and documenting patient information, assisting with examinations and procedures, recording care provided, and reporting changes in a patient's condition to the appropriate provider. The LPN, CMA, or MA accepts only assignments and duties for which they are trained and competent. These roles assist with care planning, patient education, coordination of services, and reinforcement of instructions provided by the RN or physician. In complex patient situations, the LPN may perform delegated nursing or medical acts beyond basic nursing care under the direct supervision of an RN, physician, or podiatrist, while the CMA/MA performs delegated clinical duties consistent with certification, training, organizational policy, and applicable state regulations.
HOURS: Full Time, 0.8 FTE, 64 hours biweekly
